Cancer Redemption Project

Zach Bertsch, a young husband and father of two small children, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in June 2010. He and his wife, Jenny, wanted to do something to redeem their family’s tragedy and make a lasting impact in God’s Kingdom. Through that calling and their passion to care for vulnerable children, Zach and Jenny partnered with LSM to raise funds for a campus in Haiti, hoping to use their story and LSM’s long-term vision to redeem the stories of many vulnerable children.

God blessed the Bertsch’s passionate efforts to share their story in the midst of Zach’s chemo treatments and declining health. It touched the hearts of people across the U.S. to give. The Cancer Redemption Project (CRP) became a testimony of faith not only for many in the American church, but for entire communities in Haiti to see the hope of Jesus lived out.

Today, the fruits of the Cancer Redemption Project is a beautiful 10-acre campus with:

 a local church

quality Haitian school

Six Homes of Hope

which provide a loving Christian family for 72 orphaned, at-risk and exploited children.

WHAT MIGHT GOD WANT TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE?

We all have a story that God wants to use for His glory. If the Cancer Redemption Campus inspires you, pray about how God might use your own tragedy, blessing or experiences to help vulnerable children. Like Zach and Jenny Bertsch, we’d love to help turn your dream into reality.
