WELCOME TO LA SOURCE.

IT MEANS LIVING WATER.

THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT 12 VULNERABLE CHILDREN WILL FIND HERE.

La Source is in Southwest Haiti, and this brand new Home of Hope was built with the support of U.S. funders just like you who have a passion for the vulnerable.

We all know that a house doesn’t make a home. But when you add the Gospel; a Christian mom and dad; 12 children; and the resources necessary to fill that house, by the grace of God, you have a home. A home where children can grow in the love of Christ and transform their community. And then, hopefully one day, all of Haiti.

That is our vision for this new building in La Source, Haiti we’ve just completed.

Would you prayerfully consider helping us open this new Home of Hope? We need an additional $1,800/month in ongoing family sponsorship to help fund the ongoing costs of providing for 12 precious little boys!

Ed Schwartz, Founder & President

Orphans, child slaves, and vulnerable children who have been abandoned and abused are at the top of that list.

JOSEPH* IS BARELY FOUR YEARS OLD AND HIGHLY VULNERABLE.

Right now, he’s living in one tiny room with an abusive mother and three half-siblings who all have different fathers. Joseph’s own father denies that he has a son. Alone, often beaten, utterly unwanted and unloved, Joseph will likely be sent to live with another family as a child slave (restavek).

Our Home of Hope Director, Pastor Wilfrid, just met Joseph. As he heard his story, he knew God was prompting LSM to bring Joseph into the new La Source Home of Hope. Without this opportunity, Joseph will likely become a child slave. He will live a short life, full of pain and rejection. He may even become part of the one in five who doesn’t survive past his next birthday.

WE CAN’T RESCUE JOSEPH WITHOUT YOU.

God has blessed our efforts to finish construction of our 20th Home of Hope in La Source, Haiti. But we need to raise an additional $1,800/month in ongoing sponsorships to fully care for Joseph and 11 other highly vulnerable children who will become his brothers. With this, and others who are already committed to come alongside the La Source family, we can fully fund the ongoing costs of this Home of Hope! It is our heart to work as good stewards and so we need to have a large portion of the total costs funded before we open the home. We need your help to make this possible.

WILL YOU COME ALONGSIDE JOSEPH AND THE LA SOURCE FAMILY AS AN ONGOING FAMILY SPONSOR AND HELP US PROVIDE LIFE-CHANGING CARE FOR TWELVE LITTLE BOYS?

Jean and Emise

JEAN & EMISE LONG TO WELCOME THEIR BOYS HOME

Married since 2014, this young couple is looking forward to raising children for God’s glory. Growing up without her own father present during her childhood, Emise knows all too well the feelings of fear and uncertainty many of these children face. As Home of Hope parents, Jean and Emise are committed to providing a loving, nurturing family for children who were vulnerable just like Emise once was. They are excited to raise them to be leaders, living as godly examples in their community.

YOUR ONGOING SPONSORSHIP IS CHANGING LIVES.

PRAY FOR OPEN HEARTS AND OPEN DOORS:

  • That we will be blessed with the resources we need to fully fund the ongoing operations of the La Source home this summer.
  • That God would guide our Haitian staff and make it clear which children, out of the many in need around them, should be a part of this new Home of Hope.
  • That the 12 boys (including Joseph) who will come into the La Source family would adjust well in their new family. Stability, three meals a day and their own bed are wonderful things, but are a drastic change from what they’ve known!
  • That the new parents, Jean and Emise, will continue to pour out abundant love even when their children don’t yet know how to receive it.
