Caring for Orphans
The orphan crisis has been created as a result of children lacking a family – not because they lack material possessions or an education. So to truly address this worldwide crisis, we must provide these orphans with their greatest human need – a family.
The family is God’s most basic social unit. Within a family, a child learns his or her worth, understands social norms and expectations, discovers right and wrong and learns about the world. These building blocks in a child’s development are critical and most often can only be provided in a true family unit. Without this structure, these fundamental building blocks break down.
Our approach is always to look at how we can place or keep children in godly, permanent families. Anything less misses God’s best for the children we serve.
