Core Values

Jesus Christ is central to all we do. We believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the only answer to spiritual emptiness and hopelessness. All that we do will point people to the abundant and eternal life found in the person and teachings of Jesus.

Children matter to God. We believe that children hold a special place in the heart of God. Serving and ministering to children is a “pure and undefiled” Kingdom enterprise that is fulfilling, Christ-honoring and strategic for the advancement of God’s glory throughout the earth.

Christ-centered families provide the best environment for change. Because God “sets the lonely in families” (Psalm 68:6), our heart is to place or keep orphaned, at-risk and exploited children in a Christ-centered family in which their bodies, souls and minds can be nurtured. We believe in deep, holistic engagement with the hurting children and their families.

The transformation of individuals leads to the transformation of culture. We desire to see entire cultures move Christ-ward. This is best accomplished by meeting the holistic needs of individuals, especially children, who are the upcoming generation of cultural influencers.

Caring for orphaned, at-risk and exploited children around the world is a matter of justice. The needlessly tragic condition in which so many children find themselves around the world offends God’s sense of justice. Caring for vulnerable children around the world is a matter of right and wrong as well as a matter of compassion.

Good stewardship must pervade all aspects of our organization. Whether it is finances, personnel, physical assets, or relationships with our supporters, we recognize that “every good and perfect gift is from above.” We will be wise stewards of all that God has graciously entrusted to us.

Long-term, sustainable programs honor God. Scripture teaches us that we are to keep our commitments and plan for the future. We will effectively utilize local, native resources and ingenuity to complement the generosity of our U.S. donors. This will ensure that our programs have multiple funding streams and can be sustained long into the future.
